A carved wooden ceremonial mask with obvious field use, old nails where textiles and parts of the dance costume where once attached, old metal sharpened teeth and attached metal strips on the bridge of the nose still evident.  Dan peoples, Ivory Coast, West Africa.  The mask measures 9 x 5.5 inches.  Provenance: Ex Eric Robinson collection, Washington DC.
