A rare hunters headdress from the Hausa people of Nigeria , West Africa. 

Carved wood, leather and natural fiber. The Headdress measures 11 inches deep/wide and 20 inches tall on professional custom display stand which is included.

 Well handled, well used, loss to one eye. The last photo is just an a example of how they were worn in the field , this photo is not of the same headdress.

 Provenance: Collected by Peace Corps workers in the 1970s, a private American collection since that time.
