This is a rare old carved wooden Ibibio-Efik Headdress, from the Cross River Region, Nigeria. 
The sculpture measures 26 inches tall. 
Provenance: Exhibited in 1972 in the show TRIBAL ARTS OF AFRICA at the Ft Lauderdale Museum of the Arts, Florida, Also Exhibited at the Hillsborough County Museum show AFRICA : ARTIFACTS & RITUALS in 1976. Florida.
