A very fine and rare 18-19th? century painted wooden panel, most likely part of an Orthodox Church decoration from Ethiopia. The Wooden panel features three serate religious stories and classic Ethiopian Icon painting style. The Back of the panel has concentric incised linear square designs as a decorative motif. The panel measures 41.5 x 13 inches. Provenance: Ex Irwin Hersey Collection, New York, Ex Private New Jersey Collection.
